Consumer units
Replacing old fuse boxes with an RCBO board, every circuit tested and labelled, certificate issued the same day.
Rewires
Full and partial. We work room by room so you keep power somewhere in the house throughout.
Inspection reports
EICRs for landlords and for sales. Faults are explained in writing in plain language, with what is urgent and what is not.
Car chargers
Supply checked first. If your incoming supply will not carry a 7kW charger we will say so before you buy one.
Lighting and sockets
Extra sockets, outside lights, garden and garage supplies. Small jobs are welcome and are quoted the same way.
Faults
Tripping circuits, dead rings, intermittent lights. Charged by the hour because nobody can quote a fault they have not seen.
A fixed price, or an honest hourly rate
Anything we can specify gets a fixed quote in writing before work starts, and that is the price you pay. If the wall opens up and something behind it has changed the job, we stop and re-quote rather than adding it to the bill.
Fault-finding is the exception and is charged by the hour, because the only way to quote a fault is to find it first. We tell you the rate before we come out.
Where we go
Anywhere inside the ring road, plus the villages north of it. Beyond that we will still come out, but travel is added to the quote and we will tell you what it is before you agree.
One van, one electrician. That is why the diary is usually a week out and why you get the same person who quoted the job.
